Today i talked to another band from the good ol mountain state by the name of Elysium!
How did Elysium form?
Elysium: “Elusium formed in 2008 guitarist Nathan Stanley and drummer Josh Belcher had played music with each other for years and once the decided to once aging pursue putting a band together they contacted singer jd Rucker and former guitarist Chris good after a few jam session without a bass player they contacted long time and close friend Todd Rhodes to fill the spot on bass and that was the beging of Elysium”
How was shooting the video for Der Ritter?
Elysium: “Shooting the video for Der Ritter was such a great step for us as a band it was such a milestone for us it really did alot for our exposure and brought us to many new fans the actual video shoot was such a great experience director Dan Umek really made it easy and fun for us even tho we had to play through the song 60+ times and our bodies felt like we was hit by a bus we went 100% every take but overall we think its something every musician should experience we had a blast”
Any labels pursued to yet?
Elysium: “We are currently signed with CB Entertainment witch is a artist growth and management company out of Cleveland OH witch has been amazing to us we have talked to some lables but we haven’t signed with any yet”
How do you think the scene in WV is?
Elysium: “The Wv scene is different its a hit and miss, ups and downs kinda state lol but when its up its awesome we have some of the greatest fans they show us so much love by coming out and supporting us and showing us so much energy its crazy they are the ones that put drive in us to keep playing and performing live. We do feel that their deffently needs to be way more all ages shows and venues kids here love music and deserve to see it live we need to make that happen lol”
Who are your biggest influences?
Elysium: “Our influences are to many to list lol oir influences in music alon can range from classical piano to death metal and everything thing in between but to name a few that influences our writing is bands like Rush, Tool, After The Burial, Vail of Maya, Periphery, Born of Osiris and so many more!!”

Elysium: “Favorite cartons would be Thunder Cats TMNT Tail Spin The Gummie Bears most of 90s cartoons lol Dragon Ball Z alot of the late night cartoon network shows lol”
What would you like to tell your fans?
Elysium: “And to all our fans just want to thank every single person that has supported us from coming to the shows buying our merch and music to even just sharing oir flyers to help promote every little thing means the world to us we wouldn’t be anywhere close to where we are now if it wasnt for guys!! And as long we are able we will continue to write and and perform our music for you guys and bring u the best entertainment that we can possibly offer”
